GRC Dogsports is a new style of dog sport that celebrates more than just power and drive. Built on three foundations — Gameness, Relationship, and Control — it’s designed to test not only what dogs can do physically, but how well they work with their handlers.
We’re proud to be the first fully inclusive dog sport introduced to the UK.
Clubs are now popping up across the country, welcoming everyone from competitive handlers with a drive to win, to pet dog owners who want to improve their training, bond with their dogs, and simply have fun.
💪 The Drive Events
At our clubs you can expect exciting, high-energy sports such as:
🏆 Mill Race – running on a carpet mill to showcase stamina, focus & drive.
🏆 Weight Pull – testing strength, determination & teamwork with the handler.
🏆 Wall Climb – leaping & climbing a vertical wall to grab a toy at the top.
🏆 Spring Pole – a suspended tug toy that builds explosive grip & engagement.
And the best part? All breeds are welcome — from XL Bullies to Sausage Dogs!
✅ The Social Responsibility (SR) Title
Before competing in drive events, every team must earn their SR Title. This ensures dogs have the control, focus, and manners to balance their drive.
The SR test has three sections:
1️⃣ Leash Communication
- Loose-lead walking, responding calmly to pace or direction changes.
- Staying connected with the handler in public.
2️⃣ Obedience
- Demonstrates sit, down, stay & recall.
- Calm, reliable responses without heavy corrections.
3️⃣ Liberty
- Off-lead (or long line) control.
- Dog ignores distractions, makes good choices, and returns when called.
SR training is built into our clubs, and it’s one of the best ways to challenge yourself, improve your skills, and strengthen your bond with your dog.
